Alright, so i guess this means i've joined the ranks of dorky fans. i'm usually loathe to make anything based on someone else's concept, but ever since i watched "last exile" there was just something that stood out about Dio. He's one of those characters that is so odd, yet so intriguing because of his eccentric mystery. Although this was taken from an anime, i decided to exercise some artistic license and go with my vision of Dio, which is a little more "realistic." The outfit was a bitch to draw..i couldn't find a reference pic online so i had to go out and buy the dvd (a whole $30..i must be insane) in order to make it genuine. i also realize that in the series Dio is more clean-cut than this, but i've always like the mussed, disheveled look.

Anyways..i hope everyone likes it, even if fanart isn't your thing (it isn't mine either).

Last Exile was definately an awesome series, and I think you maganed to keep the 'essence of Dio' very nicely :D

i guess i can be obsessive if i really want to do a good job and care about the results of my work (art and non-art related). Other than that, i couldn't care less :P
